Hi I'm Danny Robson, a student at the University of New South Wales, Australia. This is a little public space to hold temporary information as I work through the list. Not much about me personally though.

Ok, I've been a bit slack in the previous week or so. Havent been around my computer or the net on weekends, been caught up in 'Ruby on Rails' development and uni had a bit of work. So, back to it now. Hopefully productivity will increase a little in the next little bit.

I would even consider extending this idea to something like KIO. It is a
powerful concept, that implements network transparency for applications.
It is possible to open a file over the http, ftp and even the ssh
protocol.
And applications automatically get the required functionality. This does
need more thought though, perhaps an idea for the storagekit2.

• System limits
  • Dynamic resource limits, with calls to make larger
  • Attributes for expected resource usages/etc
  • Alert boxes on resource problems for user intervention (al la Amiga)
